In 2018, EvelWays founder, Davis Raine, embarked on a transformative journey inspired by the unconventional and vibrant spirit of the motorcycling world. It all began with a visit to the renowned "One Moto Show," a captivating event held within the historic confines of the Pickle Factory, an abandoned foundry in Portland, Oregon. Within the weathered walls of this once dormant space, life was breathed back into existence. The show unveiled a stunning array of over 180 unique motorcycles and artwork from across the globe, turning the 60,000 sq.ft. warehouse into a testament to creativity and craftsmanship.

The diversity of motorcycles on display was staggering, from custom builds to electric, vintage, and concept bikes - a spectacle too grand to capture in words. The ambiance was electric, infused with live music from six different bands that echoed through the century-old foundry. Colorful artwork adorned the walls, each piece infused with a motorcycle-themed narrative, tempting visitors to take a piece of this vibrant world home. Intrigued and inspired by the Pickle Factory's revival, Davis Raine envisioned a new home for EvelWays, one that echoed with the same vitality and ingenuity. Originally a tire factory, the building's legacy as a foundry was woven into its very name, derived from the process of “pickling” - a technique to refine cast parts. Under new ownership, the Pickle Factory underwent an extraordinary transformation, preserving its historic industrial essence while carving out space for 17 offices and artist studios. A central atrium became a hub for creative congregation, fostering community spirit and inclusivity.

The Pickle Factory's story didn't end there. It became a beacon of restoration and revitalization, earning the prestigious 2023 DeMuro Award for Excellence from Restore Oregon, a testament to its contribution in preserving Portland's artistic legacy. The building stands as a living testament to the harmonious blend of history and modernity, where the echoes of industry's past resonate with the creative fervor of today. This is the place where EvelWays found its new home - a space where innovation, legacy, and community converge to fuel the agency's boundless creative endeavors.
